A blessing in disguise? Bild: Wirtz lost the battle, Bayern was able to sign Dias and train Karl

Bayern youngster Karl has made wonderful waves in the world for two consecutive games. "Bild" wrote an article pointing out that this is largely "thanks" to Wirtz for not choosing Bayern this summer.

This summer window, the German international joined Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen for a sky-high transfer fee of approximately 150 million euros. Although Bayern Munich was also willing to pay huge sums of money for him, Wirtz ultimately chose the adventure of the Premier League.

This was originally a major transfer blow to the defending Bundesliga champions - but now it seems that this decision has had a positive impact? The fact is: Bayern's offensive midfielder has had another supernova emerge in recent weeks - 17-year-old Lennart Karl!

In the 4-0 victory over Brugge in the Champions League and the 3-0 away win over Borussia Monchengladbach in the Bundesliga, this versatile offensive star has scored the first two official goals of his career for Vincent Kompany (39 years old)'s team. What's even more amazing is that Karl made two fantastic waves and conquered the fans with his lightning-fast dribbling breakthrough and strong impact. At this moment, he has quickly become the new favorite of the Allianz Arena!

While Wirtz encountered serious adaptation difficulties in Liverpool (0 goals in 13 games), Karl was in full swing in Munich. Judging from the current status, Karl seems to be a more efficient "Wiltz". Reinforcing this impression is: Bayern will have to pay hundreds of millions of euros in transfer fees to introduce the core of the former pharmaceutical company, and Karl (playing for the youth training since July 2022) is a pure result of youth training.

More importantly, Bayern fans are always eager for a new banner coming out of their own youth training. As a player born in Bavaria (from Framersbach, Lower Franconia), Karl perfectly fits the expectations of local fans.

If Wirtz successfully joins, will Karl still have such room for growth? At least his development path will never be so smooth. Wirtz is sure to lock down a starting spot, and his versatile attributes will occupy multiple positions that Carr now gets opportunities through the rotation.

Now Bayern has a new striker ace from its own youth training - while also saving huge amounts of money. What is also clear is that it was the failure of Wirtz's transfer that released financial space for the introduction of Luis Dias (28 years old/67.5 million euros transferred from Liverpool), a left winger who continues to perform brilliantly.

It may be said that the failure of Wirtz's transfer was a blessing in disguise for Bayern and Karl.
