AS: Regarding the funding arrangements for the Huang Qian vs. Barcelona La Liga overseas match, various parties have different opinions.

According to "AS" report, the specific financial arrangements for the La Liga match between Villarreal and Barcelona planned to be held in Miami on December 21 is becoming a huge mystery, with conflicting statements from all parties.

La Liga President Tebas’s stance seems to be the most complicated. On the one hand, he publicly avoided the question of whether Barcelona and Villarreal would receive compensation directly; on the other hand, in a letter obtained by this newspaper and written to the captains of each team, he made it clear that Relevent would bear all expenses (including team travel, travel expenses for Villarreal fans, etc.), and the revenue generated from the game would be used to "strengthen the international influence and global value of La Liga" rather than "for one-time distribution between clubs." Tebas even assured the media: "La Liga will not give money. We will not receive any money and we will not distribute it."

However, this statement directly conflicts with the public statement of Barcelona Chairman Laporta. Laporta declared at last Sunday's general meeting: "Miami will make money. Villarreal and Barcelona will be the biggest beneficiaries." He compared this to hosting the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia, saying it was all about "making some money."

Villarreal CEO Roig Negroles’ statement is consistent with Tebas’ letter. He categorically stated that the club "will receive absolutely nothing in return", otherwise it would be "unfair" to other clubs, and the funds generated from the game will be used to "compensate for the inconvenience of season ticket holders".

The report also explored another possibility, that is, the event promoter Relevent directly pays Barcelona appearance fees, but this is not calculated in the income distribution of the game itself. However, sources within La Liga consulted by the newspaper denied the existence of such claims.
