Someone wrote on the Ins: 'How can you be so stupid when you lost the ball?' Then I realized: It doesn't matter what I do. I don't even have to play, but someone wants to destroy me."

"I am the kind of person who keeps a lot of things in my heart. I can't sleep well after playing poor games. But I'm not the culprit of all problems. I would rather ask for the ball and make mistakes than choose not to ask for the ball. And many people didn't realize: when things are bad, I'm always the first person to stand up and face."

Regarding Shahin's dismissal, Emre Jan said: "It hurts, and it's the case for everyone in the club. The whole team felt guilty. Some players said a few words to him when they said goodbye in the locker room. I said it too. It was not for granted, and it also showed Shahin's reputation in the locker room. We agreed: it was our team that messed up. It was not him."

When asked about someone who thought he was "sometimes too silent" in the captain role, Emre Jan said: "Do you know? We talked about Gerald, for many people, he was a symbol of the captain, a real leader. Gerald spoke very little in the locker room, he was a restrained and very polite person. But when he spoke, the whole audience was silent. What he said was weighty."
