In an interview, Como coach Cesc Fabregas talked about Italian youth training, Serie A, Morata and other topics.
Fabregas first said: "In Spain, people are keen to promote youth players to the first team and train them to be selected for the national team. In Italy, this rarely happens. Italian football needs to improve in this regard."
Fabregas also gave an example: "When I coached the Como youth team before, I realized that there were vacancies in certain positions in the lineup, so I recruited two children from the U16 team. This decision triggered Sensational, because players are considered unsuitable in Italy. There is indeed a need for change in this regard."
Fabregas continued: "Is Serie A a second-rate league? Absolutely not. Serie A is still very attractive if we travel around Europe, because Serie A is broadcast in various countries."
Spanish veteran Morata joined Como this summer, but has not scored a goal so far. Fabregas finally said: "He lacks goals and is a little frustrated now. But I believe he will bounce back because he has a high level."
