La Liga chairman Tebas: Barcelona is not able to register for Nico Williams yet

Barcelona is going all out to sign Athletic Bilbao's Nico Williams this summer after they missed the player's transfer in 2024.

As Barcelona prepares to pay the Spanish international's termination fee this weekend, La Liga president Javier Tebas commented on the matter. He made it clear that Barcelona is not capable of completing registration for Nico Williams at the moment.

"Barcelona is currently unable to register for Nico Williams." Tebas said in an interview with COPE.

Nevertheless, Barcelona has released a lot of cap space through the departures of Clement Lenglet and Ansu Fati. With the upcoming return to a 1:1 fiscal fair policy, the club is full of confidence in the successful registration of new aid Garcia and Nico, who will be joining the upcoming Nico.
