"Yes, Simi is our physical therapist. When I was lying on the treatment bed before the game, he was making adjustments for me. I told him that it was time to score a goal today. He just smiled. And after the game, he immediately came over and said: 'That's right!'"

Are you now a regular free kick taker?

"Me and Flo (Wirtz) both practiced free kicks in training. I walked over and asked him and he said: 'You can take the penalty.' I felt very good at the time and scored one in the club. He also took a very beautiful free kick. I guess this is the 'work distribution'."

"I think every child has dreamed of scoring a goal for Germany or creating a scoring opportunity for the country when they were young. This is a huge achievement and I will definitely watch it back many times."

"I practice basically every week, and I will stay 10 more times for shooting practice after training. I will also stay more after the national team training to practice a few more shots. The more I practice, the better I feel during the game and the stronger my confidence."
