Real Madrid legend Michel Salgado said in an exclusive interview with GIVEMESPORT that Arnold will be able to seamlessly adapt to the new head coach Xavi Alonso, and Bellingham is expected to return to a more aggressive role in the new season.
Salgado firmly believes that Arnold is one of the world's top right-backs. Despite his pressure to surpass Carvajal, Salgado believes Arnold will quickly make his mark after joining Real Madrid.
In an exclusive interview with GMS during the club's World Cup, the Bernabeu legend said: "I think he is a world-class player. He is one of the best right-backs in the past few years, completely different from Carvajal. I believe that Xavi Alonso will be very happy to have both players because they are now the best right-backs in the world."
"I think Arnold will adapt well to the system of Xavi Alonso because he likes to make the full-back almost like a wingback. He hopes they can be on the court and put a lot of pressure. Arnold will be in the next few years in the The team plays an important role. "
Salgado also said that Bellingham is expected to be given a higher position, just like he did in his first season with Real Madrid: "I want Bellingham to be near the penalty area. I don't need him to retreat to catch the ball or participate too much in the organization's offense. He has proven himself in his first season as a player with a special sense of smell that can threaten the penalty area. Under the leadership of Xavi Alonso, I think he will play this role. I think he will be the key player behind Vinicius and Mbappe. We will see a different Bellingham this year and will definitely be his best version."
