According to reports from multiple Heat reporters, Hiero and the Heat failed to reach an early contract extension.
It is understood that 12 noon today is the deadline for veterans with two years or more (excluding options) left on their contracts to renew their contracts with the team in advance. Herro's contract with the Heat will expire in the summer of 2027, with two years and $64 million left.
