According to ESPN reporter Shams Charania, multiple sources revealed that Spurs rookie Dylan Harper has undergone surgery on Friday local time to repair his partial tear in his left thumb ligament in recent training. The team hopes that Harper can prepare for the season opener in Dallas on October 23.
The San Antonio Express reported that according to a source familiar with the recovery plan, Harper is unlikely to play during the preseason. But the team has not ruled out that Harper might make a comeback before (or shortly after) the regular season opening against the Mavericks on October 22.
