US media ClutchPoints has included players in history who rejected large contracts and could only accept low wages in the end, including Schroeder, Oladipo and Cousins.
Cousins: Reject the Pelicans' 2-year, $40 million contract, and then get 1-year, $5.3 million in the Warriors;
Schroeder: Reject the Lakers' 4-year, $84 million contract, and then get 1-year, $5.9 million in the Celtics;
Oladipo: Reject the Pacers' 4-year, $112 million contract, and then sign $45.2 million in the Rockets and get 1-year, $2.4 million in the Heat;
"Madman" Sprewell: Reject the Timberwolves' 3-year, $21 million contract, and then have no ball to play;
Noel: Reject the Mavericks' four-year, $70 million contract, and then sign a one-year, $4.1 million contract with the Mavericks;
"Bonchi Wells": Reject the Kings' five-year, $38.5 million contract, and then get a one-year, $2.1 million contract with the Rockets;
Shabaz Mohamed: Reject the Timberwolves' four-year, $40 million contract, and then sign a one-year, $1.5 million contract with the Timberwolves;
John Amic: Reject the Lakers' six-year, $17 million contract, and then get a one-year, $600,000 in the Magic.
Joe Smith: Rejected the Warriors' contract for a multi-year $80 million, and then won $1.75 million in the Timberwolves.
