However, Anthony believes that liking for luxury and high-profile lifestyle is a misunderstanding of NBA players. "Most strippers will tell you that athletes are stingy. They don't spend much money in strip clubs. They act low-key and don't spend big money there. They will tell you directly, don't look too high at those athletes."

"It's very low-key because in those days, it was forbidden to go to that kind of place as athletes," Anthony said in his recollection of his experience in 2000-2010. "People have a misunderstanding about NBA players, that you are strictly managed. In fact, you only have two or three hours of training every day, and the rest of the time is free. You can really arrange it yourself. Your responsibility lies with yourself."

Anthony believes that athletes try to keep a low profile. They go to strip clubs not to enjoy the dance, but to enjoy the buffet, atmosphere and good music there. He said: "Everyone thought you went there for erotic dance. Actually, it wasn't. You went there to relax. You went there just to relax and clear your mind. You might have a drink and eat something.
