According to the Daily Sports Daily, Barcelona has given up its number one target this summer, Luis Dias.

The media pointed out that Barcelona Football Club will sign Marcus Rashford to strengthen the front line. After Nico Williams broke the appointment, the club turned to one of Deco's preferred targets: As disclosed by World Sports, the sports director had met with the Manchester United player's agent at the end of May, and the possibility of introducing Louis Dias, the number one target in the summer window, is already slim.

Despite ultimately choosing Rashford, it is no secret that Barcelona always prioritizes Liverpool's Diaz - especially for Deco. However, due to financial fair terms restrictions and Liverpool's economic demands, the transaction died in the early stages.

Barcelona's strategy against Dias was originally: after the negotiations between Bayern and Liverpool reached a deadlock, intervene when the salary limit in August returns to the 1:1 rule (Chairman Laporta clarifies this time point). However, Bayern launched a strong attack due to the demand for signings, forcing Barcelona to consider changing plans in advance.

Bayern offered the attacker a fixed transfer fee of 67.5 million euros, but Liverpool refused. Although Bayern is expected to raise the offer, the maximum maximum that Barcelona can and is willing to pay for players is 70 million euros (including all floating terms) and will never be added. On the salary level, Barcelona's offer is the same as Bayern.

Liverpool intends to push up the bidding and has exposed the news to the outside world that only accepts 82 million euros - Barcelona has no intention of approaching this number. Barcelona's strategy is clear: if Diaz is eager to wear a red and blue battle suit, he should take the initiative to put pressure on the transfer to the agreed price. Deco refused to participate in bidding to pay premium: Nico Williams's negotiations were frustrated and he was still scared, so he withdrew decisively after no hope.

Dias' transfer to Riyadh victory is also completely ruled out. He clearly wants to maintain top-level competitive levels in Europe, and there is no current option to venture into Saudi Arabia. Bayern intervened in the bid for the winger because of the failed signing of Werz and Nico Williams. This is a necessary strategic signing for the Bundesliga giants, but it is also possible to withdraw if it is still not finalized until July.
