Liverpool Echo's Liverpool team reporter Doyle reported that the news that Liverpool contacted AC Milan striker Leo was not true.
Italian media reported this week that Liverpool had contacted AC Milan for the transfer of 25-year-old Portuguese winger Leo, and the report further pointed out that the Serie A giants were reluctant to sell and priced it for 130 million euros (£109 million), a figure that happened to be the same as Liverpool's offer for Wiltz.
However, Liverpool Echo learned that Liverpool did not make a formal offer for Leo, but was focusing on completing the transfer of Wilz and advancing the trade of Bournemouth left-back Kolkerz.
