J Luo: Appearance is the result of how you take care of your body, and it also depends on the good genes your parents give you

33-year-old J Ronaldo is now settled in Mexico and plays for Leon Club. He is also involved in entrepreneurial projects related to health and well-being on the court. Recently, the player was interviewed by Hola Magazine and talked about his recent situation.
How to keep your body in the best shape?
"In fact, the most important thing is not just your performance in training or competition, but everything you do when you are not exercising. It is impossible to perform well on the court without a good diet, rest and proper supplementation."
How to stay healthy psychologically? What is the biggest challenge you have faced? For example, bullying or criticism...
"I firmly believe that mental health is closely linked to our diet, physical condition and mental state. When you understand the food you consume, you will find that, for example, omega-3 is crucial to the brain, which will have an impact on your daily feelings and reactions. From a young age, I had to face criticism and praise, but I also learned not to let these outside voices define who I am. I think I am a very strong person, and those who say bad things about you cannot deprive you of your essence, nor can I erase the achievements you have achieved through hard work and self-discipline."
What are the daily exercise that will never change?
"As a football player, my essential exercise every day is strength training in the gym, which is an important supplement to training on the court, because the training on the court is mainly aerobic exercise. Strength training is very helpful in helping prevent injuries and can keep the body strong to adapt to the high-intensity requirements of the game."
Which link is the most important part for you?
"For me, physical recovery is the top priority. Although physical training is part of the work, what really plays a decisive role is recovery afterwards: massage, sauna, and taking creatine and magnesium before bed to help muscle recovery are all indispensable parts of my daily life. Not only do athletes need to pay attention to recovery, but I have also seen many friends of non-professional athletes improve their health through the recovery process. No matter what job we do, we will face a lot of physical and mental stress. If we put recovery first, we can deal with the stress better."
You also pay great attention to your image so that you can work with different brands. How important do you think appearance is?
"I think appearance is just the result of how you take care of your body, and it also depends on the good genes given to you by your parents (laughs). My maintenance method is quite ordinary, but I don't really love vanity. But I believe that when you eat healthy, supplement properly and maintain a balance between body and mind, these will be reflected in your appearance."
What image do you want to convey to young people?
"I hope young people believe that dreams are fulfilled. I have dreamed of playing football since I was a child, and my parents have always supported me, but it is impossible to go further without self-discipline and willingness to sacrifice. If I could convey such a message, I would be very happy. It is very cool to motivate others. In the process, sports and media exposures have almost inadvertently shaped your character, which will force you to become more confident. However, it was not the case at first, and over time, you will learn how to deal with criticism, face difficulties and self-doubt, which is also part of the training required."
What kind of person do you want people to remember?
"It's a good question, but to be honest, thinking about how I want others to remember me, it sounds a bit narcissistic. As an athlete, I want people to remember that I was all out on the court, always playing with passion and joy. And as an ordinary person, I care more about what people who really know me think of me, those who share wins and failures with me. If they remember that I was a good friend, a good father, then I was satisfied."
