Official: Lyon renews contract with 32-year-old defender Taliafico until 2027

On Friday local time, Lyon officially announced that it would renew its contract with team defender Taliafico until 2027.
Taliafico's original contract ends this summer, and Lyon officially announced that the player's contract will be extended for two seasons until June 30, 2027. Since joining in 2022, Taliafico has played 102 games for Lyon and scored 9 goals.
Lyon official stated that with the high daily requirements, role model and team spirit, Taliafico played a role as a role model and leader as a young player. Through this contract renewal, Lyon has once again clarified his philosophy: rely on experienced players to provide guidance and support for the growth of young players.
