Monday, September 29, will be a key day for the future development of the San Siro Stadium, when the proposal to sell the stadium and related surrounding areas to Inter Milan and AC Milan will be voted on. Previously, at the first convening meeting, the proposal was only discussed, focusing on some key issues: some people asked for higher transparency to clarify which entities the acquirer represents, and the specific positions of Inter Milan and Milan; in the warning issued by the Legal Committee, it was emphasized that potential mafia penetration risks should be wary of, including before and after the transaction; some people questioned that the entire approval process was too hasty and not standardized; in addition, there were concerns about environmental impacts, which were also listed as one of the current focus of controversy.

At present, the acquisition proposal jointly proposed by Inter Milan and Milan will expire on September 30, 2025. This is related to the San Siro second stand protection order, which will come into effect on November 10, 2025, so time is tight.

A member of parliament requested a moratorium on the vote, believing that the proposal had not been fully considered (only three committee discussions were conducted, and at least six were originally required, and should be extended to the weekend if necessary). However, the request for suspension has been rejected by 26 out of 42 votes.

At present, the situation is still unclear. Since the last meeting did not reach the quorum and the valid vote could not be held, the meeting was scheduled to be held again on September 29, and the required quorum will be reduced, making it easier for the meeting to reach effective resolutions.
