Zamorano: People say that Simeone is only bloody but he can play football. Raul once wore a crotch.

Chilean legend Zamorano reviewed his career on DAZN's show and shared interesting stories and opinions about former teammates Diego Simeone, Raul, Louis Enrique and others.

You have been teammates with Simeone in Seville and Inter Milan. What was he like at that time?

I used to be a roommate with Jolo (Simone's nickname) and he talked about football all day long. After the coach finished the meeting, when we were about to go to bed the night before, he started to gesture with his cup: 'The coach said that, we must play like this, you must retreat a little...' In the third and fourth games, I told him that we should talk to him about something else: girls, cars... He agreed, but not long after, he changed back to the same.

Everyone said that Qiao Luo represents blood and fighting spirit, but he is actually a player who can play football. I think he injected competitiveness into Atletico Madrid and turned the team into a winning team and a fighter, no matter how you win or lose. I think he will leave when he wants to leave, and he has a very deep foundation in the hearts of Atletico Madrid fans.

You have also witnessed Raul's emergence in Real Madrid. What kind of memories do you have of him?

Rauer was a child at the time and dared to wear Sanchis and Jero during training. I had to calm him down at that time. He has that personality and character. When he made his debut against Zaragoza, his performance was fantastic, and that personality and style of playing allowed him to fully fit into the game.

Maybe he was not lucky in that game (failed to score), but he performed very well. Then there was the game against Atletico Madrid, and the coach (Baldano) asked him to partner with me with the striker, and he played a great game. He assisted me to head the ball, and then scored a goal himself. I feel very proud to be involved in his growth process. From the beginning I saw that he had the potential to win and would become a great player, but he eventually exceeded everyone's expectations.

What was the most difficult moment in your Real Madrid career? Is it said to be related to coach Bardano?

I think that was one of the most difficult moments in my career. I had been in Europe for six years and then someone told you, ‘You know? I won't count on you anymore’. I have to face it with my usual attitude towards life. Bardano announced this publicly and every time we turned on the TV, we heard it was ‘Zamorano must leave, if he stayed, he would be the fifth striker…’. I didn't say anything, I responded on the court.

In the first training session of the preseason and Bardano, he divided the two teams to conduct high-intensity ball control practice. Due to the lack of people, he himself joined our opponent's side. Then, in a fifty-on-fifty fight, I was one step late and shoveled his ankles, calf and knees. We all fell to the ground, and when I was about to chase the ball again, Bardano hit me with his elbow and said to me, ‘Hey, idiot, you have always been training like this, or are you only doing this when you hate your coach? ’I answered him: ‘I have always trained. ’ I think, at that moment, Bardano realized that he was wrong about me.

What do you think of another former teammate, Enrique? Did you expect him to become a successful coach?

He puts in 200% of his efforts in training or on the court. If I had to choose someone to fight side by side with me at that time, I would have chosen Louis (Enrique). He tried his best when playing in the national derby, and he was a player born for the national derby.

During the days I worked with him, I could feel him feeling football in a very special way, but I never thought he would be as successful as a coach. The coaches he has had helped him so much, which makes him one of the most recognized coaches in the world today.

Apart from football, do you have any "unknown" talents?

I have a career dream that I have not realized. I have always loved singing since I was a child and I have loved it all my life. I sing well, but it sounds bad. I like singing, and they always let me sing on TV shows. Once, Talia (a famous Mexican female singer) was on the show, and everyone encouraged me to sing for her, and I did as I did, and then she saw my "huge talent" as a singer. When facing Talia, anyone will be nervous. I tried my best and walked out of the stage with my head held high.

I will comment on Real Madrid's game on DAZN. I always go back to the Bernabeu because that's my home, but I'll be very happy to go back as a commenter and be able to... be able to touch again through my comments those who have brought them a little joy.
