According to ESPN's famous reporter Shams, agent Ritchie Paul revealed to ESPN that James will implement a player option worth $52.6 million in the 2025-26 season.
ESPN salary expert Bobby Marks talked about James on the podcast "GetUp", saying: "Many teams believe that it is not a smart business decision to completely break up the existing roster for potential deals for LeBron James at 40."
