Today, the Suns officially announced the signing of defender Jordan Goodwin.
Previously, Goodwin was cut by the Lakers to free up cap space and lineup places for Marcus Smart. The Sun then claimed Goodwin in the free market.
Last season, Goodwin played 29 games for the Lakers, averaging 5.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game, and a three-point shooting percentage of 38.2%.
The Suns claim that Goodwin will have to bear all the guaranteed wages ($25,000) on the remaining contract, and the previous one-year contract between Goodwin and the Lakers ($2.35 million) will be transferred to the Suns intact.
Goodwin played for the Suns in 23-24, playing in 40 games, averaging 5 points, 2.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per 14 minutes.
