In the early morning of the European World Cup preliminaries, Italy defeated Israel 3-0 at home. According to multiple foreign media reports, due to the current tension between Palestine and Israel, this game has been classified as a high-risk game. There are snipers stationed at the Israeli hotel and the game site.
The game was held in Udine, a city in northeastern Italy. Before the game, a demonstration in support of Palestine was held in the city, and small-scale conflicts occurred between participants and the police.
However, the game did not suffer much interference. Several fans holding Palestinian flags tried to rush into the stadium, but were blocked by the staff.
Snipers have been deployed on the roof of the hotel where Israel is staying. When Israel went to the stadium, the bus was escorted by 13 police cars and several motorcycles. There were also snipers stationed on the top floor of the competition venue.
