Entering the Tenghach era❗❗Leverkusen official: Tenghach officially leads the team to train next Monday

According to the official website of Leverkusen, the team will gather for the 2025/26 season starting next Monday. Head coach Ten Hah will lead his new coaching team to conduct its first public training with a group of professional and young players.

Since the national team players have just finished their respective national teams' match missions, they will not participate in this training for the time being. The team will start training in the shadow of Bayer Arena around 2 p.m. after a formal welcome ceremony in the locker room.

Tenhach's new coaching team includes assistant coaches Andris Urdlink and Roger Mayer. In addition, Miguel Angel Campos Vosquez will serve as the head of physical fitness and Alesandro Schönmako will serve as the physical fitness coach.

Urdlink, 55, briefly served as head coach of Antwerp. Previously, he served as assistant coach for Glasgow Rangers and Twente, and head coached in Ajax Cape Town, South Africa and Dutch second division team De Grafshap.

43-year-old Meyer recently coached at the Eredivisie Club. He became the team’s assistant coach in 2019 and took over the team a year later, leading the team to the top league in his first full season. In 2024, Nijmegen reached the Cup final and finished eighth in the 2024/25 season. In total, Mayer coached 194 official games in Nijmegen.

Miguel Angel Campos Vosquez has served as the physical coach of Spanish clubs Levante, Granada, Almeria and Cadiz. In England, he played for Watford and briefly worked for the Algerian Football Association. Recently, he was responsible for the physical training of the Spanish U21 national team.

Finally, Brazilian Alesandro Schoenmako worked with Tenghach in Amsterdam, Ajax. The 45-year-old physical coach has accumulated rich experience in football and has worked in clubs such as Anderlecht, Crystal Palace, Newcastle United and Inter Milan. In 2010, he also worked as a physical coach in Wolfsburg, Bundesliga.

Leverkusen's coaching team also includes experienced physical coaches Marcus Muller and Jonas Rat. Tenhach's core team also includes assistant coach and analyst Marcel Dowm, analyst Simon Lackman, sports science director Dr. Malte Krueger and sports scientist Prisca Walmari.
