Former Toulouse Chairman Comoli is about to join Juventus as general manager, and Eurosport shows the executive's resume and achievements in his past career.
53-year-old Comoli is expected to serve as general manager at Juventus, the same position as Marlotta had previously, and Calvo's departure would give Chiellini more management rights.
In his 30-year career, Comoli has held many important positions. He started as Monaco youth coach in 1992, joined Arsenal as head of scouts in 1996, served as sports director for Saint-Etienne in 2004, and joined Tottenham as football director in 2010, holding the power of negotiations and signings.
Betel Comolly served as Liverpool's sporting director, helping the Reds rebuild, and he has served as technical consultant for several English clubs. In 2018, Comoli joined Fenerbahce, then served as chairman of Toulouse in 2020 for Milan's current boss Cardinale, leading the team back to Ligue 1, and won the 2023 French Cup.
Comoli has led the signing of several famous players in his past career. He introduced Henry, Pirez and Virtod during his tenure at Arsenal; Modric and Bale during his tenure at Tottenham; Luis Suarez and Henderson during his tenure at Liverpool.
While serving as chairman in Toulouse, Comoli introduced the "Moneyball" data analysis concept, using data and algorithms to guide signings and team management, which is also the concept that Red Birds have been trying to introduce Milan in recent years.
Comoli's major advantage lies in his excellent coordination of the scouting system, which is proof of the large number of outstanding players he has discovered over the past 30 years. Comolly is a full-scale manager who not only has in-depth communication with the head coach at the tactical level (he has also served as a coach), but is also good at dealing with relationships with senior management.
