"World Sports News" reported that at the Barcelona Member Congress, Vice President Elena Ford announced a new model for the fan cheering area at the new Camp Nou stadium, as well as the latest timetable and important details for the return of the stadium.
Ford officially announced in his speech that the new fan cheering area will be named the "1957 Stand" to commemorate the year when the Nou Camp stadium was built. The area's capacity will be 1,247 people. An important change is that according to Catalan police security regulations, the visiting team fan area must be located in the north stand, so the new cheering area will be relocated to the south stand.
The Club has set extremely strict admission and behavior standards for the area. Ford emphasized that the area will be given priority to younger members aged 18 to 25 who are on the waiting list (they are often the children and grandchildren of older members but do not have season tickets). Applicants must be members with no bad records, enter in their own name, and are required to ensure attendance at up to 80% of home games. In addition, any offensive, homophobic or xenophobic singing will be strictly prohibited in this area, as will persons under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
In terms of stadium construction, Ford confirmed that the final full completion date of the new Camp Nou will be postponed to December 2027. However, she also brought good news about her return: It is expected that at the end of November this year, with the completion of "Phase 1B" that can accommodate 45,401 people, the team will officially return to Camp Nou. After this, "Phase 1C" will also be completed by the end of this year, when the stadium capacity will reach 62,000 people. In addition, the new official club store and museum are scheduled to be officially unveiled in 2026.
