reporter Shams reported that the Heat sent Highsmith and the 32-year second-round pick to the Nets in exchange for a protected 26-year second-round pick.
Hismith's salary next season is $5.6 million. After sending him away, the Heat's total salary was reduced to below the luxury tax line, with a distance of $4 million.
So far in the 14-15 season, the Heat have only paid a total of US$22.413 million in luxury tax.
