According to draft expert Krysten Peek, the Spurs may be interested in choosing South Sudanese center Kaman Maluach from Duke University.
Krysten Peek wrote in his article: "Another popular person associated with the Spurs is MaluAchi, a 2.18-meter-long center from Duke University. The Spurs may form a double tower for MaluAchi and Vinban, and they may also choose another big man who can learn and grow together with Vinbanyama."
"The Spurs are unlikely to pick MaluAchi in the second pick, but they may consider trading downwards in draft picks, or packing the No. 14 and other assets in exchange for an opportunity to win this talented center."
At this year's draft, the Spurs had No. 2, No. 14 and No. 38.
MaluAchi has finished his freshman season with Duke, averaging 8.6 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game.
