According to a report by American journalist Brett Siegel, sources revealed that the Lakers are finalizing a two-way contract with Drew Timmy.
However, the Lakers will not waive Nick Smith Jr., so they need to waive one of Christian Kroc or Chris Manon to sign Tim (a single team can have up to three two-way contracts at the same time).
It is worth mentioning that Drew Timmy was awarded the NBA G League Player of the Week in the first week. He averaged 30 points, 7 rebounds and 4.7 assists per game, and the South Bay Lakers had 3 wins and 0 losses.
