Grimes agent: The 76ers and GM have never had any form of renewal negotiations with us

Today, 76ers' team reporter Adam Aaronson posted a report on the inside story of the contract renewal negotiations between Grimes and the 76ers.

The article reads: "Grimes' agent David Bowman claimed in a telephone interview with Voice of Philadelphia that the 76ers team and general manager had never had any meaningful negotiations with Grimes about signing a long-term contract, and claimed that the team was 'joking about my client's career'."

"This is not Quentin's unreasonableness," Bowman said, "it's just that the 76ers are unwilling to negotiate with us no matter what."

Currently, the contract renewal negotiations for restricted free agents Grimes and the 76ers are at a deadlock. According to previous reports, the two sides tend to sign for one year. If Grimes waived the veto power in a one-year contract, the 76ers are willing to give a contract of 19 million.
